This was such a great spot! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. Ben and Erika were both extremely responsive and helpful. The villas are within walking distance to a ton of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and the beach, but they still feel private and safe. There is also a small cafe on-site. We saw some iguanas, birds, and howler monkeys, which was fun. The furniture was really comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed, though we went out to eat for most meals. We especially appreciated the outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is superbly located, within easy walking distance of most restaurants and the beach , and literally just two minutes from a huge supermarket. Despite being next to a busy street, it truly is a gem. I was initially a bit concerned about noise to expect at night, but the street quiets down completely, and it didn’t impact my sleep at all.
Ben was an amazing host — very helpful and welcoming. A real highlight for us was being allowed to use the facilities of the small local community center on the same property. This was fantastic for the kids, who quickly met other children and enjoyed playing Lego and a variety of games. There’s also a lovely small children’s library that Ben and his co-host have set up for the local community.
Staying here also means supporting a small community center for locals, which made the whole experience even more meaningful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

Warm & natural
The little cabin was very cute and comfortable. Erika was a wonderful host, friendly and proactive. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants.

What a lovely place to stay. Ben was very welcoming and warm and we were delighted we could use the children’s library for our two sons. The location was great too, everything walking distance. Lovely beach - we will return for sure!

Erica and Ben were such great hosts. We stayed at the Airbnb for two days and Erika waited for us to arrive and show us around the property. There were many great recommendations for what to do and great restaurants. This property is walking distance through the whole town. The response time of the hosts was amazing. We left some clothes out to dry and Erica provided us with a drying rack for our clothes. She also brought us some extra towels for our stay. She gave us a gift at the end of our stay. It was obvious that they truly cared about their guests. I would definitely recommend staying here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best Airbnb experience of our lives
Staying at Iona with Erika was truly the best experience we’ve ever had. She welcomed us with so much love, attention, and care, and even shared a bit about her wonderful community projects with the kids of Sámara — the library, the classes, the café… everything she does is beautiful and inspiring.
Iona is a magical community that made us feel completely at home.
Our stay in the casita went above and beyond our expectations. The place is super cozy, comfortable, beautifully designed, and extremely clean. It had everything we needed for our family — twins of 1.5 years old and our 5-year-old daughter. Erika even gave us fresh coffee roasted by them for every day
Our kids loved going to the library to look at books and play with the cat. The location is perfect too — you don’t need a car, you can walk everywhere.
We are already planning to come back to Sámara, and we will definitely stay at Iona again.

We verbleven 1 nacht, maar had hier graag langer willen blijven. Heerlijk pkekje op loopafstand van het strand. Gelukkig mochten we een late checkout doen, omdat er geen vervolgboeking was.
Met oog voor detail gebouwd en superaardige host.
Aapjes in de boom naast het huis
Enige minpuntje is het verkeer in de vroege ochtend.

We had an excellent stay at IONA Villas. Erica was a great host - available to answer questions and offered help when ever we needed it. The location in town was fantastic, close to grocery stores and the beach. We loved watching the monkeys in the trees, lizards and iguanas from the window.
